Nestled in the picturesque Marsala region of Sicily, Italy, our project breathes new life into the venerable ‘Cine Impero’ theater. Embracing the temporal dimension, our renovation contemplates the interplay of nature and humanity across varying timeframes. This design quest delves into the rich tapestry of Sicily’s history and cultural diversity, aspiring to craft a cultural haven seamlessly amalgamating bygone eras with the present, encapsulating the intricate dance of nature and mankind. The coined term ‘IL SIMBIOSEO,’ derived from ‘symbiotic’ and ‘museum,’ encapsulates this synergy.

Drawing inspiration from the nuanced interplay of nature and humans on our site, we encapsulate moments of harmony and tension. Our proposal envisions repositioning both human and nonhuman elements, exploring their evolving dynamic within the locale. We extend an invitation for periodic visits, allowing observers to witness the dynamic evolution of our project, reflecting the evolving ‘habits of the Anthropocene.’ Ultimately, this transformation transcends the glorification of human prowess, evolving into a tribute to nature’s indomitable force.
